When I made this site a few years back, my life was a very different thing. It's amazing the kind of change a person can go through in the course of a couple years. Safe to say that with being a full-time student, working 2-4 jobs at any one time, a mound of personal tragedy and a number of other commitments...well let's say I've been pretty busy lately...
I owe a sincere apology to the anime community and all those that did so much for this project.
The slow demise of this site over the past year or two has been entirely my fault. Not in that I have so many other important commitments in life, but that I made it so difficult for the community to truly participate and bring out this site's potential, by forcing them to rely on me and my (lack of) schedule to get updates. I was selfish, and I'm truly sorry.
So I'm announcing now that I will be scraping this site entirely, I will not be updating in it's current form again.
However.
This site will be reborn. And this time, it will be very different.
The support that came in from a handful of individuals was really inspiring. There are some really great people out there more reliable than me that are willing to really go out of their way to help, and I owe them the biggest apology of all for asking so much of them and then not doing my absolute best with the work they had done.
That will change. The new site will give these users that control and allow for constant updates from members of the community without the need for me to do every single update myself. Instead, I'll serve a smaller part in the upload process and a larger part in maintaining security and keeping out the vandals. I still get to stroke my ego and sit on high as grand admin, but you all get the constant updates and fixed links that makes the site work. And I'll make sure to give those select few who were oh so extra helpful additional power. It's a wonderful relationship.
I won't promise you a when. It may be next week, it may be in six months. Rest assured it will be sometime between January '09 and June '09 (and if your reading this in July, email me and wish me a happy birthday and WHERE THE HELL IS THE NEW SITE), but a better range I cannot promise, it wouldn't be fair with all the promises I've already broken.
I apologize and thank everyone again, and hope you'll keep an eye on the forum thread and this site for updates.
